A Quick Heads-Up: This is not a romance. 
Because this is a dark military fantasy, I don’t pull punches on the “dark” part. To mirror the grim reality of military life and institutional abuse, there is on-the-page sexual assault. As a veteran myself I felt it was very important that the reality of what it is to be in the military be reflected on the page. It’s a heavy element of Vian’s journey toward justice, so I wanted to be 100% transparent about that trigger warning
